Whirlpool’s refrigerator lineup spans every layout, so “Whirlpool dimensions” depends on the type. Here are the typical sizes by configuration, plus every Whirlpool model we track measured from the spec sheet.

Typical ranges from the Whirlpool models we track. Standard-depth refrigerators run 33–35″ deep before the doors and handles; allow about 36″ of clearance plus door swing. Counter-depth trims the cabinet to roughly 24–25″ with a 29–31″ overall depth.

Fit notes

• Leave a width margin. A “36-inch” refrigerator is usually 35¾–35⅞″ wide, but Whirlpool calls for ~½″ total side air gap — plan a 36″ opening minimum, wider for French-door swing.
• Height includes the hinge. The published height is to the top of the case or hinge cap; add an inch of working room to slide it in under cabinetry.
• Depth is measured two ways. Cabinet depth (to the back) vs total depth (to the handle). For door-open clearance, French-door and side-by-side need 44–48″ from the back wall.
