Fit notes

36″ means a 36″ opening. A “36-inch” GE fridge is about 35¾″ wide; GE wants a small side and top air gap, so plan a full 36″ opening plus door-swing room.
Counter-depth vs standard. Standard-depth GE fridges run 33–35″ deep before the doors; counter-depth French-door models trim to roughly 31″ total so the doors sit near-flush with countertops.
