French Door Refrigerator Dimensions

French-door refrigerators pair two narrow doors over a bottom freezer drawer — the most popular layout, in a standard 30–36″ width. Because the top doors split, each needs less swing room than one wide door, and the fridge compartment sits at eye level. Here are the dimensions and the wide bottom-mount models we track.

Fit notes

• Split doors, less swing. Each top door is about half the width, so a French door needs less clearance in front than a single-door fridge of the same width — handy beside a wall or island.
• 36″ means a 36″ opening. A “36-inch” French door is ~35¾″ wide; plan a full 36″ opening plus a small top and side gap.
• Counter-depth trims the body. Counter-depth French-door models drop to ~29–31″ total depth so the doors align with countertops — at the cost of a few cubic feet.
